Hi All

Please help advise any other better workaround solution when exporting customized Crystal Report Designs to Microsoft Word Office 365 web version cannot display columns properly.

There are now 2 versions of MS word.

1st is the “offline” version where you pay the full MS 365 fee

2nd is the “online/web” version where you only pay the basic MS 365 fee

The online/web version cannot have the columns displayed properly.

Hi Kedalene Chong,

Sorry about the misunderstanding, I missed that you talked about Word, and just assumed Excel. However, there are some workarounds you may consider:

  1. Export to Excel instead of to Word.
  2. Export to PDF instead of tot Word.
  3. Export to Excel, and then embed the Excel table in Word.
  4. Export an image of the Crystal Report to Word.

Also, could you please describe how and why the customer is exporting a crystal report to Word?

Regards,

Johan

Hi Johan

Our client inform us that customised Crystal Report Design exported to Microsoft Word 365 Web version is not displaying columns in right alignment.

There is no problem if exported to offline (non Web) Word version.

Hi Kedalene Chong,

I am not sure what the Microsoft article is talking about. The web version allows formatting of columns just like the desk top version:

Can you please describe in more detail what you mean with "...web version cannot display columns properly."? Perhaps some screenshots might help.

Regards,

Johan
