Hi all,
In preventive maintenance plan, when a call (PM preventive order) is completed, system calculates the 'actual variance' (in days) : see 'Maintenance Plan Schedule Calls' tab in maintenance plan.
How this 'actual variance' is calculated? it seems that it 'completion date' is compared with the 'planned start date' whereas it would make more sense (to me) to compare it with the 'planned finish date'...
Am i missing something?

I'm not 100% sure if this is possible, but if it is, then it would need to done via user-exits or BADIs.
Have a look at BADI IPRM_MCP_UPD_CALLOBJ..
