Routing: combination of sequence and overlapping

Dear all,

I have two operations in a sequence. The third operation starts after the two operations before have finished. I would like that the third operation starts when output of the operations before is available, so basically overlapping. But it does not work that both operations from the sequence overlapp with the third one, so the thourghput time is not reduced.

Is overlapping in combination with sequence possible?

Hi Johann,

yes it is possible..only for order quantity more than one overlapping settings will

give you the expected results.

Check by increasing the production order quantity and logically the machining timinngs should be given

as the minimum overlap time,say for example assume the machining time for one piece is 20 min

minutes,so set the same value as the min.overlap time and now check the impact by creating a

production order for say 10 quantity...
