Incremental load from S/4HANA into SAC 'New' model

Hi Experts,

Could anyone confirm if 'Incremental load' is possible for New model sourced from S/4HANA? If yes, could you mention a standard VDM from where this is possible to achieve?

I have tested all CDS data model categories and could only make the incremental load working for Public Dimensions based on DIMENSION type CDS views. No luck with loading transactional data into new SAC model, neither with FACT, CUBE or QUERY type CDS (exposed as ODATA services). Even though the delta candidate fields - DATE, TIME, TIMESTAMP - appear with correct data types, the 'Incremental load' option is not enabled (button is not visible) at Import Job setup. Annotations for 'Analytics.dataExtraction' were deployed, I tried with different combination but noticed no change in the behavior.

I went further and tried to use the exact same S/4HANA CDS models via the SAP BW type connection (via SAP Analytics Agent): only QUERY type - based on CUBE or DIMENSION - is supported. DATE, TIME and TIMESTAMP fields are all interpreted as string type at the Import Job setup and ‘Incremental load’ option is not available (button is not visible). Interesting that when loading a Public Dimension, the ‘Incremental load’ option is enabled contrary to having string type for ALL(!) dimension fields.

peter.merenyi2I think the New model does not support the Delta load functionality yet on Odata service based import jobs.
