Vistex is what is called an SAP Bolt-in as opposed to a Bolt-on,(Certified Interface).
Vistex is an extended solution for rebates and paybacks written in ABAP.

Also SAP has an on-line course on Vistex called Incentive and Paybacks I believe.
What Vistex does is to sweep data from Sales Documents or Billing Documents and then process them within Vistex functionality.
