The change of certificate when you use webservice via custom excel

We have developed an Excel macro that calls Odata for ByDesign. This macro requires a certificate to work, and previously once the certificate was installed there was no problem for a while. However, recently I have had to download and install a certificate every day. Has SAP changed the specifications here?

The custom excel addon which you have developed needs to be taken care by customer only. As in standard excel there is no certification requirements.
