FTSD and SAP HCM payroll data

Hi,

We are having SAP HCM Onpremises system for Payroll and time management running since long back. EC and other SF module was implemented on 01.11.2017 and FTSD is set as 01.11.2017 and now EC is system of record. On 01.01.2019 we are going live for data of IT0008, IT0014, IT0015, balance of IT0045 etc . below are issue i am thinking.

1. Infotype records for IT8, IT14,IT15 already exist in SAP system. If we not load historical data for period 01.11.2017 to 31.12.2018 then how system will behave. Will this delete all the records before 31.12.2018 records?

2. If we load historical records from 01.11.2017 onwards then retro will trigger for all employee ( this is very critical to rectify the retro records)

What will be best option in this situation.

Hi,

1. Data will not be deleted in period 01.11.2017 to 31.12.2018.
Replication program conducts the replication based on the payload XML, you can check the payload XML, only the period in payload XML will be used to compare the data in ERP.
2. Whether payroll is retro calculated, it is depended on field 'Earliest MD change' in infotype 0003.
During replication, system compares the data between SF and ERP, if data is same, then replication will not performed, of course, program will not update infotype 0003.

Your EC data are effective of 01.01.2019, why you set FTSD as 01.11.2017, actually you can set as 01.01.2019.

Our EC Golive was happened on 01.11.2017 without compensation . Now we are going live for Compensation , recurring and non recurring portlet.

So we can't change the FTSD date from 01.11.2017 to 01.01.2019.
