Error accured in g/l balances carry forward

Hi this is dudekula,

Actually i want carry farward the balances of g/l to new fisical year. but i got error when i enter excute the code.

That error is.

Balance carryforward is not possible; GLT0 update is not active.

We are using ECC6.0(my sap).

Pls give some sugations and posible solutions.
