Availability SAP S/4HANA IDES

Hello,

I'm looking for the SAP S/4HANA IDES installers that we need for internal testing.

Until last month the 1610 IDES was available in the marketplace (note 2445594). Today I see that the 1610 has been removed and there is no IDES for later versions.

Is planned the release of the IDES for a more recent version?

Or is the 1610 IDES still recoverable in some way (we can't even find it among the archived installers)?

Thank you

Andrea N.

Hi Andrea,

Is 1610 off support, does this impact this question?
I understand S4 on-prem support to be 5 years from release, so I would expect to see 1610 out of support December 31, 2021.

Best Regards, Wallace

Hi Henry,

we are SAP partner and we are doing a study on DWH Cloud.

We need an S/4 IDES to be able to do data export tests to DHW Cloud, regardless of the S/4 version.

In December the only S/4 IDES available was at version 1610, but now having gone out of support it is no longer available, but I am not aware of any later IDES versions (so as of today there is no S/4 IDES available).

My request was to understand if it was recoverable in some way the 1610 or if a new IDES version is expected to be released soon.

I hope my problem is clearer now.

Thanks anyway for your reply

Andrea

Hi Andrea,

1610 was the final IDES release for S/4HANA.

If you are looking for an S/4HANA sandbox, the "SAP S/4HANA Fully-Activated Appliance" should do the job (it is a pre-configured S/4 sandbox image with business configuration as well as sample master&transactional data).

Available releases are S/4 1809 through 2021 (in various FPS releases).

You can install it on your own hardware on-prem (see SAP Note 2041140) or, typically faster, run it via SAP Cloud Appliance Library on a hyperscaler.

Hope that helps for your tests.
