Variant Config - Warning When Characteristics value is Blank

Hi All,

We are using Variant configuration for our product.

I created a characteristics (CT04) C_ABCD with 3 values. I assigned this Characteristics in Class type 300 (CL02).

Now my requirement is when I create Sales order and production order and if the characteristics C_ABCD has no value assigned it should populate a Warning message in VA01 or CO01.

Please let me know if any one has already done this task.

Ninad Kshirsagar,

In CT04 , you can make characterstic mandatory and it will give you pop up for value updation.

HI,

   I think Your req is that during the sales order/Prod order , the charac should not be blank ??

Did you maintain the Variant MATCHING='x' in item categories maintenance and Item category Incompleteness Procedure (20) ??
