Making a file repository and instead of clicking new I clicked edit and changed the etc repository. I renamed the repository back to etc and entered the location back in but, now the icons on the repository monitor no longer show up. When I go to the location of where the icons are they are nothing but red x's but I click on them and they show in a new window.
Is this a problem with the mime set up?
Is the folder on the FS ok (means: does it still contain the images).
The /etc folder is somewhere on ../SYS/global\config\cm\etc (the public folder contains the images).

ok... what do you have in <img src="???">, i mean where is it trying to retreive images from? you can get this from the properties (right mouse click -> properties) of the image (which is not being showed in your browser - red cross in iexplore.exe)
& what is the "Image Path" under System Administration -> System Configuration -> KM Configuration -> CM -> Global Services -> URL Generator Service.

(webserver)/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/etc/public/mimes/images/standard_folder.gif
I could not find the URL Generator Service at that location on either of my portals. However, looking at my component monitor I found that the actionbox and oth services are not running because they can not find the repository /etc.
/etc is there, do I have to repoint those services?
1) the path seems to be alright.
Can you access any other documents with /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/ component?
e.g. if you create test.txt in /documents folder can you access it via $server/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/documents/test.txt???
or even better: try to upload the image!
2) I know this is very stupid thing to assume (image blocker) but do you in general can see images in your portal?
3) if you print out programatically all IResources under the RID.getRID("/") do you get /etc there? in other words is /etc also a technical name of this resource?
4) it is very weired that you cannot find the URL generation service... it should be there (may be you need to switch the advance mode on?)

dimitry
