Unable to process back dated joinings payroll (India)

Dear Experts,

I'm unable to process Backdated Joining Payroll prior to 01.03.2011. If any employees Date of Joining is 01.02.2011 and I'm trying to run the payroll for the period 01.04.2011, it gives me an error saying that " No payroll results available for 12th Period of 2010 for employee". Please suggest and help.
