hi,

My requirement is i am moving a stock from A storage location to B storage location ,In "B" storage location is having three way of storing stocks like cold,open and rack. It is possible to restrict a material in storage location , with any specific information("A" material goes to cold..."B"material goes to rack) or it is possible in lean warehouse or full warehouse.

Hi,

Yes , possible. Go for Batch Management of material. So that you can store material WRT batch on stocks like cold,open and rack.

Quickly you can check with t.code: MSC1N for creation of batch for material.

If a material is stored in only one of the storage types, then you can simply use the "storage bin" field at Sloc. level (Plant data/Storage 1 view of material master) to note this characteristic.

Through warehouse management, you can achieve the same.

Define your B storage location as full warehouse and define cold, open and rack as 3 different storage types.

Hi,

The Classification of Stocking Material can be achieved through Storage Type in WM. The requirement can be achieved in Full Warehouse.

MM solution:

Instead of one storage location B, have three different storage locations for cold, open and rack. Your material will be extended to only one of these. This way it will not be posted to any sloc other than where it is already extended. I am assuming that auto extension of material master is not maintained in the configuration.

WM solution:

Have a Warehouse assigned to your storage location B.

Configure three different storage unit types

Configure three different storage bin types viz cold, open and rack.

Configure the assignment of storage unit types and storage bin types.

In the material master, assign the relevant storage bin types to the three materials in WM2 view

Create three different bins with the bin types configured above.

During putaway, the system will not allow placement of the material in a bin whose bin type is not compatible with the storage unit type of the material. This way your material goes into the appropriate bin.

You can also set up auto placement via storage type search strategy.
