Loading items to some, not all warehouses

I would like to confirm that if the General settings the Auto Add all warehouses to new items is ticked off, then I only need the Item template populated for DTW and the ITEM_WarehouseInfo template need not be used. But if I want to load items to some, but not all warehouses, then I should un-tick the Auto Add all warehouses to new items and provide an ITEM_WarehouseInfo template record for each warehouse I want the item defined for. I can tick the Auto Add all warehouses to new items box on and off as necessary. Also, what bearing, if any, does the Default warehouse column have on the Item template, with any of this?

Your understanding of Auto Add all warehouses to new items setting is correct.

As for the default warehouse, it is nothing to do with this.
