Dear Friend,
We are calculating over time through IT 2010. And we are identifiying eligiblity of overtime using Payscale Group in IT0008. If an employee belongs to a particular Payscale Group ( eg.Group A, Level A0 -A5) he is eligible for over time otherwise not . How can I restrict this in payroll calculation ?currently over time wage type is getting calculate for all the employee irrespective of Payscale Group in the payroll run.
Thanks & Regards
Hi,
There are 2 possible solutions:
1. Prevent entering overtime in 2010 for unqualified employees. There is no standard SAP solution to do it based on pay scale group and level. Thus you will have to use BADI or user exit.
2. During payroll processing add IF scenarion using operation OUTWPTRFGR (Pay scale group) and/orOUTWPTRFST (Pay scale level) and allow processing of overtime only for eligible employees.
Cheers!

Dear friends
Thanks for the inputs from semvladigo & Arti.
Semvladigo i feel your second solution seems very convinent .
ie. " 2. During payroll processing add IF scenarion using operation OUTWPTRFGR (Pay scale group) and/orOUTWPTRFST (Pay scale level) and allow processing of overtime only for eligible employees. "
I feel the best place to check using if condition is after the function P2010 (P2010 X930 GEN NOAB this is my function for OT/2010 WT).
Thanks & Regards
Hello Tressya,
In addition to semvladigo's response.
You can check following:
1. Check table V_511_B if that would help to restrict using OT on other PS and ESG.
2. You can write user exit to read Pay scale group and levels and condition to check it.
Also check the settings under below path.
