Barcode Printing in Pick List

Former Member

Hi,

The issue is I am not able to print barcode in Pick list (LK01) belongs to Plant 'B' whereas I am able to print barcode in Picklist belong to Plant'A'. I am using the same HP printer which supports barcode printing for both the above instances.

I am not able to figure out the reason for this.

Thanks & Regards,

UK

Hi,

Check the setup in OPK8 for LK01. If there the setup is identical & calling the same print program. Then check with your Abaper on this.

Hi Vivek,

Thanks for your response.

We are in PP-PI scenario. I checked in CB85, it is a Z program Z_PROCESS_ORDER_PICK_LIST2.

I could notice only a difference in "Spool parameters for User"

For Plant 'A', the output device is CT3FM & Print List Immedidately is activated

For Plant 'B" the output device is Local & Print List Immediately is not acvitated.

I donot see any other changes in setting between Plant A & B.

Hi,

If Printer CT3FM is not printing, then check whether it supports Bar-code printing or if its not printing for plant 'B" where it is specified as LOCL, then check the printer which is defined in windows as default, whether it supports barcode.

Also check in SPOOL via SP01 for Plant B, it could be that all print jobs are saved as spool instead of printing.

If the above checks does not give you the result, then check with the Z program.

Hi Vivek,

Yes, printer CT3FM supports barcode printing. This printer is placed in Plant 'A'.

From Plant 'A' when I call Pick list of a Process Order belongs to Plant 'A' it prints the pick list with barcode in printer CT3FM.

From Plant 'A' when I call Pick list of a Process Order belongs to Plant 'B' it prints the pick list without barcode in printer CT3FM.

Thanks,

Hi

Have you checked with your abaper? If not, first check with the developer & ensure that the custom program is working fine. Based on the inputs provided thus far, i suspect some issue with the custom print program.

Hi,

The ABAPer checked the program, it works fine. Moreover Plant 'A' is not hardcoded in the program.

Hi,

If program is checked & correct, then do one last check in CB85. Double click on Forms, check for combination of ref order, plant 'B' & list LK01, the bar code check box is ticked (if its a SAP script form).

Also can you explain what you mean by the below (i.e. Calling pick list of Plant 'B' from Plant 'A')

From Plant 'A' when I call Pick list of a Process Order belongs to Plant 'B' it prints the pick list without barcode in printer CT3FM

Hi Vivek,

Thanks for your kind response.

The barcode box is ticked for the said combination.

The Printer CT3FM is located in Plant 'A', so the user who sits in Plant 'A' want to print the Pick List of a Process Order belongs to Plant 'B' (Testing Purpose).

The barcode facility currently being used in Plant 'A', the client wants to implement barcode printng in Plant'B' as well. So before setting up a printer with SIMM card in Plant 'B' they want to test whether it works fine with the existing CT3FM printer in Plant 'A'.

Thanks,
