Email Notifications of the Persons whom you follow

Hello Experts,

Before the advent of the latest SAP Community, that was in SCN, it was possible to get the notifications in your mail , when the person whom you are following answers. Is the same possible in the new forum ?

Hi Philip,

If you click your avatar in the header of this page and click Account Settings, you can see/edit all the available email notifications. Today, receiving a notification for activity by persons you follow is not available as an email notification, but you can find this information in the Followed Activities in that same avatar menu.

Following a persons activity and getting notification was a very nice feature. Any particular reason you skipped it or any future plan to bring the same ?

Hi Philip,

This functionality is being developed, as you can see from the comments on a related improvement request.

The problem is that SAP royally screwed the pooch when they designed the current iteration of the SCN, and again when they migrated the SCN from the Jive platform in 2016. Because of these reasons, it has taken the team two years already, and will take several more years, to get the SCN back to the level of functionality that we had with the Jive platform.

Add to this the team's disconnectedness (See Jamie Cantrell's answer), and SAP deprioritizing Q&A, and you may understand that it would be unwise to hold your breath, waiting for this functionality to be returned to SCN anytime soon.

It was a very good feature in the SCN. Many a times i just search with in my mail account to find answers since the persons which I used to follow where very knowledgeable and accurate with the answers.
