Source Inspection -GR for Rejection

Hi QM Expert,

I have done following setting to source Inspection maintained 0101 -for source inspection in QInfo record,in material master I have maintained qm control key -001 which have setting for GR source inspection ->GR for Rejection->Create new Inspection lot,

I have rejected the source inspection lot but no new not created ? what is wrong ?

If I reject source inspection lot ,system will create new lot for source inspection ?

Dear Aditya

These controls are given to have a better control on the vendor.

If suppose you have rejected the vendor material due to some faults during source inspection. Vendor assures you that he will correct the same and send it to you.You will surely like to check this material again when this material comes to your place. That is why creation of a lot at GR is given.

There is nothing like a new inspection lot. it only means you will get another lot (regular 01 inspection type lot) when doing the GR.

Hi,

1. As pointed out in the earlier thread,you can only create additional Inspection Lot while doing GR.

2. Ensure that corresponding inspection type is active for the goods receipt against the purchase order.

Dear Aditya,

The usage decision (if rejected) taken for the source inspection lot triggers new lot at the time of Goods receipt against the Purchase order. No new lot is created before GR when the source insp lot is rejected.

Hi,

In you case you can make the setting that if source inspection is rejected then you have 3 option is control key setting.

1. Create New Inspection lot.

2. GR not allowed.

3. Source inspection has not effect.

You have to select the 1st option.

Then in the GR control you have to select Create Inspection lot.

In the material master you have to select the inspection type 01 for the GR inspection.

Dear Aditya

You have understood it wrongly. If you have rejected a lot in source inspection there will be another lot created when you do the GR for the same material ie why it is given as GR Control for Rejected Source Inspection Lot. It is the control for Goods receipt based on the source inspection

Hi if i Active no inspection at GR then what happen ?

& if the QI info is activated For both source & GR inspection system will do GR inspection as per regular but wht mean by create new lot pls expln giving example ?

If vendor is qualified for mentioned material as per your quality system then you need to select this, so system will not create inspection lot to do RR/ UD and stock will directly go in to unrestricted for further use.
