Hello guys,
I've been having a problem with Functional Location Structure transaction IH01.
In this transaction you can see the first and second level of the functional location structure. If you further keep expanding you will be ablo to go to a lower level of hierarchy.
I have two systems: DEV and QAS both have the same information and Im using variants on each instance to execute the transaction. In the first one, DES, I have no problems expanding the information, however on QAS I cant, it hangs from the first level until a Time-Out Dump is shown.
Does anybody knows why this is happening?
Thanks in advantage!!
Isabel
Hi Isabel,
probably it's a problem with the amount of data. I think in DEV, you'll have only some "test-"data. In QAS you'll have productive data. To be able to display the correct icons for e.g. "functional locations on the next level available", they have to read not only the 1st level, but also the 2nd one; and they have to check, if equipments are installed and BOMs existing,... As far as I know, there's a customizing setting, where you can decide, if the next level should be checked. BUT, if you decide not to check the next level, you'll get no icons for existing objects.
Best regards,
Stephan

Hello Isabel,
sorry for answering so late. On the initial screen of the IH01 you can enter the no. of levels you want to "display". Do you have different settings in both systems? Or have you set the flag "inlude equipments" in the QAS system? Or the BOM flag?
Another possibility could be a system parameter. As far as I know, there's a system parameter to maintain a "maximum runtime of an APAP" (I don't know the exact name of this parameter, but your SAP admin could tell you). Perhaps this parameter has a diffent setting in both systems?
Best regards
Stephan
Hello,
Thanks for answering. Finally the problem was because a performance issue. We did tuning to SAP and it worked.
Thanks and regards!
