Hi All,
I need to solve a problem and I'm not sure how:
I have a lsit of materials and I need to know:
- if a material has a BOM
-if a material is part of a BOM
How can I do this with standard transaction? Do we have an indicator in MM03 transaction?
For sure, I need in mass, because I have 17.000 materials to explore :).
Thank you.
I'm afraid that the answer is that there is not an BOM indicator at all 😞
As I know, there isn't a direct BOM indicator in the MM03 transaction, but you should still find out if a material has a BOM or if it's part of a BOM using other standard transactions. Did you try to use the CS03 transaction? You just need to enter the material number and plant. If the material has a BOM, it will be displayed. To check if a material is part of a BOM, you can use the CS15 transaction.
For mass checking, may you can try to use the SE16N transaction with the tables STKO (for BOM headers) and STPO (for BOM items). You can filter by material number to find all BOMs related to a specific material.
