Shared elements and queries

Hi all,

I'm trying to build a new report in Webi 4.2 using the feature "Shared Elements".

I was able to save an element but every time I reuse this element (even in the same report), webi creates a new query.

So if I want to reuse all the objects from one tab in another, I get several queries from the same query.

Does it work like that?

Hi Jawahar,

We're on SP 4.

If I insert two shared elements (coming from the same document and using the same Bex query), webi creates two queries: one with the name of the query (e.g.: KPI) and the other with the same name + (2) (e.g.: KPI(2))

Which SP version of BI you are in? I have not seen that issue. What do you mean several queries? You mean when go and eidt Query, show SQL, that is where you are seeing multiple queries.
