Error in 'STARTSAP_NBAS' - Dispatcher does not come up due to incorrect Profile para

I am facing an issue with 3 profile parameters which seems to be incorrectly set and SUM process will not proceed further unless its fixed. Strangely I do not see the profile parameters in the Instance profile. I have check most of the information available but could not see to find a fix. if anyone of you have come across such an issue, your pointers will be of great help.

INSTANCE.OUT log

Non of the above 3 parameters are in the Instatance profile or the default profile. We are patching out S/4 Hana FP02 2021.

Hello Yannick,

Going one step back, the actual error in the SUM page is that the Dispatcher did not start.

What do you see at the dev_disp trace file?

Perhaps this wiki page might help with the troubleshooting.

Isaísa

The search screen you posted is for rdisp/amc/task_limit. By default it's set as 85% of rdisp/task_limit. Searching for amc/task_limit may not show hits. What do searches for rdisp/task_limit show?

They can be set in DEFAULT. Are you using the right profile directory to see the settings? It looks like you should be looking at /profile in SUM's directories not regular system ones.

Hi,

The sappfpar command on the SUM's log that was provided there points to the normal system profile folder (/usr/sap/SID/SYS/profile/...) 😉

Hello Mikhail,

I have also checked the Default and Instance profile in the SUM dir, and failed to see any of these 3 profile.
