SAP Alert Notification service against multiple subaccounts

Is it possible for an instance of Alert Notification services to automatically consume events generated in other sub accounts? We have 2 global accounts - one for Integration Suite services that we purchased and another that is setup for CPEA where we will be running Workflow and some additional services.

Can one instance of Alert Notification be connected to multiple sub accounts and automatically process events from all connected sub accounts or do we need to subscribe to alert notification in each subaccount.

Hello, Andrew,

Thanks for getting in touch!

As of today, the absolute answer to your question is "no". However, I'd suggest to contact me on my email <kristina.dzhurdzhina@sap.com> with further details on the events that you want to consume and the scenario you need to achieve. We could figure out an appropriate approach to satisfy your use case.

In general, the platform events processed by SAP Alert Notification service are related to a resource that is located either in a Neo subaccount or in a Cloud Foundry space. Based on the environment (Neo or Cloud Foundry), these events are "visible" only by the SAP Alert Notification service tenant that is associated with the particular Neo subaccount/Cloud Foundry space. Thus, it is needed to enable/instantiate the service everywhere you keep a resource you need to be alarmed/notified about.

Best regards,
Kristina

Hi andrew.mccarron ,

In addition to the detailed feedback provided by dzhurdzhina , in case you would like to configure multiple SAP Alert Notification service for SAP BTP instances, you might find interesting the feature about exporting / importing SAP Alert Notification service configurations that include subscriptions, conditions, and actions.

If so, please feel free to check out this link: Exporting or Importing Configurations

Kind regards,

Biser
