Cross Calulation - How to make comparison with value 12 month earlier.

Hello together,

I have a very specific question. We are using an account dimension and want to show the value for the current date and the date 12 month ago.

It is used here also a date dimension besides the account dimension which has the values. I was creating a cross calculation assigned to the date dimension in the following way:

Now when setting up the Values or Input Control I am struggling.

How to set up the last step for the cross calculation so the value 12 month ago is shown?

Hi there,

In your second restricted measure use the "time navigation" selection for 'Prevous Year' for the Date area you have in your screen. That way the first Restricted Measure will show June 2021 and the second one which uses this time navigation function will show June 2020.

In the end we had to load a new dimension called year and use a page filter to make this work. We have tried all the offered solutions but no one worked finally. Thank you anyway for the help.

Hello oliver76,

You can pick Navigation > Previous (shift previous value)

For MTD you can choose Previous Period> Full Period
