My client is using internal order budgeting and now they are implementing funds management. They want to stick with existing CAPEX budget process which they are doing through Internal Order.
If FM module is activated then will it ask for CAPEX budget? What is the configuration to ignore CAPEX budget in FM module?
For each vehicle, there is one internal order. Is there a requirement of Funded Program? If yes kindly make me understand what is Funded Program?
IO budget (in Co) is fully independent from FM module and those two budgetary modes can co-exist.

Hi,
I'm afraid you are mixing the terms: funded program, CAPEX, etc.. So, as a first advice, I suggest you to learn more about PSM-FM before you start your analysis. 'Funded program' is merely one of the possible FM objects which you can use while designing your budget management environment. Other FM objects would be fund centre, commitment item, fund source, budget period, etc.
Each of FM assignment objects can receive a different business meaning in a project, depending on the business requirements of the client. Though, there is some convention about their usage, e.g. commitment item will in most cases represent G/L.
Regards,
Eli

Hi Eli,
Thanks for the quick response. I got your point. Please let me know what setting (is there any specific configuration to ignore IO budgeting on FM module) I need to do if the client wants to have internal order budgeting for CAPEX and through funds management, they want to budget all other things.
