How many maximum schemas can be created for 1 system in SAP HANA

Could any body tell how many maximum schema's can be created for one system in SAP HANA studio.

Hello,

If you are talking about standard SAP system on HANA, then installer creates only one schema for the system. Two other standard schema's will be present i.e. System and DBACOCKPIT.

Thank you for the response!

I agree to your statement.

But my query is how many maximum schemas can we create in HANA studio.As we aware that one default schema is created by the system when we add the system. but we can create manually schemas by SQL Console in catalog folder.

What is the  maximum limit of schemas we can create? is there any limits to it...

Hello Mallikarjun

There is no predefined limit to the number of schemas you can create in a SAP HANA database.

The only actual limits are that:

a) a schema name hast to be unique for the whole database and

b) the name needs to be 1 to 256 unicode characters long.
