Work Processes ended

Hello to all experts,

I am running on ECC6.0 Ides version on WIn2003, ORACLE database, after a power failure when i am trying to restart my SAP system the work processes are getting from an RUN -

> ENDED state and I have tried restarting both SAP as well as Oracle services specially the oracle listner, but still nothing is happening. I have even tried to recover database but its prompting me saying that its not necessary to recover database. R3trans -d is returning back with <0012> code. Please help.

Hi,

login as user <sid>adm go to command prompt & run

sqlplus /nolog

connect /as sysdba

than you come in sql prompt

sql>startup

check the status of database

select status from v$instance;

if it shows mount state than do

alter database open;

If the data base did not open than paste the error message here.

when i am trying to follow your given procedure on <cmd> prompt its giving me the following message:

Karan,

Pls help me in this. My system got shutdown due to power failure and when done as you said in this thread, error code returned like this. Now My SAP sys in middle of sgen so cannot reset DB. Pls help to find solution without resetting my DB.
