web page composer Layout access

hi,

I am trying to create a web Page and adding different elements to it.

Now by default the users who have edit option can go and change/edit/add to the different blocks in the web page of a web page

composer.

Now we would like to restrict different users such that a particular user should be able to edit a particular block/section of the web page.

Is this possible, please let me know as how to go about this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

your editors should create the content independent from the page (lock issues, page deletions, etc). The page creater should add the individual elements of the page and publish the page. The editors can than verify the result.

To create the content, use the Site Content folder. You can also create sub-folders for every editor.

hi,

Thanks for the response, the scenario what we are trying to acheive is something based on a

access control at area in a web page and not at the content level.

The scenario is as follows.

There are editors A, B, C and a publisher who publishes the page P.

Editors are owners of individual blocks in WepPage, where each area is

defined to an Editor by publishing team.

Now, Editors can go and change the articles of their block, But unless

published cannot see this in the WepPage.

The requirement is,

We want a way out where editors can see the preview of the web page

without having authorisation to modify other editors block and have no

permissions as Publisher.

Thanks and regards,

Kris
