SUM Current step: Determine DB information Error in Determine DB information Step

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this community and would like to ask for your help on my issue trying to update our Java stack using SUM. In the process Execution Configuration part, the process has stopped upto Determine DB information Error in Determine DB information Step. I have here below the error logs as displayed. Could any give me a solution on how to get around this problem?

Hi all,

I have been able to get around the DB info error with doing some editing on the java files on windows by navigating to C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_301\lib\security and opening the java.security file using notepad. Look for jdk.tls.disabledAlgorithms and delete the TLSv1 and TLSv1.1 then save the file.

Then I navigated to C:\Users\<SID>adm\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment and edited the file deployment.properties. I added the line deployment.security.TLSv1=true as seen below.

after which I restarted SUM and the saphostagent then the error is now gone. Hopefully this is true to everyone that experience this error!

3068063 - Database instance installation of NW AS Java failed with error: "The server selected protocol version TLS10 is not accepted by client preferences [TLS12]"
