ST-PI and ST-A/PI Update on satellite systems

Hi All,

I would like to install...

- Addon supportpackage SP01 for ST-A/PI 01N_700SOL

- Addon supportpackage level 5 for ST-PI 2008_1_700 for 7.00

on Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1.

Is it necessary to install these version on satellite systems, too?

Does it have any impact, if we still use the old version on satellite systems?

It is recommended to keep both, the solman and the satellite systems, up to date w.r.t RTCCTOOL recommendations.

Impact is - you might see some defects in EWA reports or service definitions or some other remote services.

The good thing is, these patches do not impact business and do not need much 'downtime' - so it is really a good habit to keep them 'up to date'. You read the notes mentioned in RTCCTOOL recommendations, things will be more clear.

What do you mean? Defects, because the versions of ST-PI and ST-A/PI in satellite systems are different from the versions in Solution Manager (incompatibility satelitte system <=> SolutionManager) or do you mean some newly added checks don't appear in EWA because the ST-PI and PI-ST/A version is not installed in the latest version on satellite systems?

Second option. Some checks gets missed out or wrong info is shown in EWA report because the ST-PI and PI-ST/A version is not installed in the latest version on satellite systems.
