Dear Experts,
My requirement is to read an attachment from the Outlook email and send it to SAP. I'm really not sure how the email sender adapter can be configured to read only the specific emails (say based on subject) and not all (I don't see any default namespace param in 7.31 email sender) if I use IMAP protocol (say URL - imap://mailserver.com/INBOX will read all the emails from INBOX? I don't want to create a separate folder and email forward rule).
And do i need to set up a separate email server (like the PI email server, not the actual Outlook email server) to route the emails? Or can it be my regular outlook email server and read the emails sent to my user id?
Please clarify.
Thanks
Hi Joe,
1. You do not need to set up any extra mail server in PO. mails can be read from your outlook emails.
2. I am really sorry to say that you can't pick mails based on specific criteria like subject. I guess you have done your research before posting this as you have already posted you do not want to create forward rules. You might have got this answer on scn that you need forward rules, alas! that is the option you have.
3. I can only help you by saying that if you want to handle this in PI the only option you have is to pick mails, enable asma and then apply condition in receiver determination to forward files only which you require. But all mails will be picked up and messages will be delivered only which satisfies condifiton.

Vikas
