Hi community,
Our customer is migrating to S/4HANA on RISE with SAP, HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC). They want to replicate master and transaction data of S/4HANA to Non-SAP database (on-premise). The number of tables to replicated is more than 100. If any of you have had similar requirements, kindly share how you achieved them.
Methods I can think of are as follows:
Your comments and suggestions are very much appreciated.
Best regards,
Mio
Adding to the list:
- ALE. Much of common master and transaction data can be replicated by tried and true SAP-delivered and ALE setup or partner adapters.
- PI. XML messages. SAP may have PI content that fits ready to do. Partners have lots of PI adapters.
- SAP's Master Data Management product, aka/or MDG.
- SAP-certified integration products like Gold Client, Winshuttle, etc.
- Depending on the specific master and transactional data extraction there may already be an SAP tool ready to go, for example, SAP EPC for integration to Oracle Primavera.
- Lots of third party integration suites, some more robust than others. For example, Oracle Fusion. Some use proprietary stuff. Some use standard methods such SOA, calling on WebMethods within S/4.
Unlike S/4 Cloud edition, S/4 RISE can make any necessary ports and protocols open for the above.
