Hi:
We had to ditch our old license server for PowerBuilder 12.6 (was 2008 R2 and Security said it had to be decommissioned ASAP), so I went ahead and created a new system at the SAP Launchpad, then created a new standalone license (unserved...we only have the 1 PowerBuilder license, so opted to just keep the license on the same machine as PowerBuilder, rather than have to build a new License server), using the HD Vol ID as the host name (this was accepted by the wizard and suggested by other forums I visited) and then placed the .lic file on the local system and ran the "Update License" tool within PowerBuilder, specifying the location of the new license, but it won't show as anything but Grace Mode when I go to Help>>>about. I even rebooted the entire system (not just PowerBuilder) in case there was a licensing service or something like that that needed to restart.
So, now it says our Grace period expires in 30 days, and I cannot get PowerBuilder to recognize the new license.
Does anyone have any suggestions on getting PowerBuilder 12.6 to validate the new local, unserved license?
Thanks,
-Rob
