Multiple Lines appearing in BEx based on Multiprovider

Hi,

A BEx Report based on a Multiprovider is displaying results in multiple lines. The Multiprovider contains a InfoCube and a DSO and hence there are two lines - one for fields coming from DSO, and other for fields coming from the cube.

I have already tried making some InfoObjects as "Constant" in the selection. The issue is when anyone tries to drag in from free characteristics to display area. As the characteristics are not added as constant in the selection, we get multiple lines. The count of free characteristics is more than 100 (each from DSO and InfoCube), hence it gets difficult to include all in the selection.

Can anyone advise how to fix this issue.

Hi,

This is how multiproivider behaves. If you want to have data in single line then all the characteristic should be common among the providers used in MP.

Otherwise the only option which i know is constant selection.

Infoset can also be an option,that can be judged by you based on your requirement. But that can also take a toll on performance of query if the read records are too high.
