Multicube creation

I'm in BW 3.1, I want to create a multicube MC2 based on a multicube MC1. The problem is MC2 uses an Infoprovider IF2 which is a copy of Infoprovider IF1 which is referenced in MC1.

Is there a way to copy MC1 to MC2 and somehow change the reference of IF1 to IF2 without having to remodel the new multicube MC2 from scratch?

No - but the following should be pretty straight forward.

Copy MC1 to MC2.

Do not delete IF1 from MC2.

Add IF2 to MC2.

Configure identifications for IF2 fields based on IF1.

Delete IF1 from MC2 when done.
