Migrating MSSQL db from windows to Linux for SAP B1?

We want to export SAP B1 's MSSQL DB to Linux MSSQL.

Do you have guide for this?

Hi,

This is quite easy. Just make a backup of your database on the Windows machine, and then restore it on the Linux machine...

Please note that MS SQL on Linux is not necessarily supported by SAP, and you may still need a Windows machine to install the server components, etc.

Hi, Yes I also see this page and tested. I could export database to Linux easily. But I did not define it on SAP. Yes I know we still need windows to run and manage SAP B1.

SAP doesn't support MSSQL on Linux, only on WINDOWS.

Why? Microsoft is telling that nothing difference (except a few helper tools) between Linux and Windows version?
