Issues connecting Crystal Reports 2008 to DB2 Unicode

I'm running Crystal Reports 2008 on a Windows 7 machine. Whenever I try to create a new connection using DB2 Unicode I get

"SQL1032N No start database manager command was issued SQLSTATE=57019."

I am running DB2 10.1 fix pack 4. We have tested it on DB2 9.7 and had no problem connecting. Is there any way to connect and/or are there any known issues with CR2008 to DB2 10.1?

Hi Alyssa,

What version of CR 2008 are you using?

CR 2008 SP7 supports DB2 10.1:

I'm seeing Version: 12.0.0.683

Well that is the very first version of CR and I'm pretty sure it didn't support the newer DB2 versions.

Try upgrading to a higher Service Pack that can be downloaded from here:

Thanks for your help. I tried downloading the SP07 and got a "Cannot install because the version installed is too low". So I tried SP04 and got the same thing. If I uninstall and install the full build (as I saw you had commented on another thread) will that overwrite my product key/whatever keys were associated with the old build?

No, CR will prompt for the key when the product is re-installed.

Okay, I am now running 12.7.2.2279. Installed Service Pack 7. Still getting the exact same error with "No start database manager command was issued".

DB2 is running with my credentials in other programs. Any ideas?
