Hi Expert,

I am getting an error when trying to launch Query Designer. I am getting the following error 'SAP BEx Query Designer Standalone has stopped working'. The message looks like a Window's message. Sceenshot below. I have already tried un-installing and re-installing the SAP Logon.

System details - 7.3 Patch 5(64 bit OS)

Please provide your suggestion.

Thanks,

Anupama

Hi Anupama,

Is the issue started recently, can you able to access it earlier without any issues. Did you check with your colleagues who is using BEx with same patch as your's. Ask your colleague to logon into your system with their credentials and see if they can login.

If you want for the latest patch details, please go through the below sap note.

Very Good point Vengal,

I do recommend to always download and install the latest patches.

Make sure that you have installed on your workstation .NET Framework 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0.

If, for somre reason it persist, reinstall everything.

Kind Regards,

Hi Vengal,

Yes this issue has started recently. It was not happening earlier.

It is working for my  colleagues with same installation and patch level. The message is popping up as soon as i click on the query designer. The logon screen is not opening up at all, so its not a issue with user access.

Thanks,

Anupama

Hi Anupama,

Are there any recent changes happened to your software/hardware in your system, sometimes some software upgrade/downgrade will show impact. Finally check with your IT team.

Vengal.

Hi Vengal,

Some security updates have happened and had got DataServices installed. Nothing else has changed.

I am already in touch with my IT team,  but they also have not been able to resolve the issue.

Thanks,

Anupama

As mentioned by Edward, have you tried the above suggestion. But issue seems to be only in your system.

Vengal.
