Hi Swarup,
I need to select As ABAP, AS Java and PI usage type, but when i go to the selection screen where i need to select i see lot of options as i mentioned above.
I have gone through the installation document and there they have mentioned as below
The technical terms used for the instances of an SAP system have changed as follows:
l u201CCentral instanceu201D (CI) is now called u201Cprimary application server instanceu201D.
l u201CDialog instanceu201D (DI) is now called u201Cadditional application server instanceu201D.
Note
The technical terms u201CDatabase instanceu201D, u201CJava central services instanceu201D (SCS), and u201CABAP central services instanceu201D (ASCS) remain unchanged.
n u201CCentral systemu201D ‒ meaning an SAP system running on one single host ‒ is now
called u201Cstandard systemu201D.
I am doing standard installation and i think i need to select
1. Central Servcies instance - As Java
2. Primary Application Server - AS ABAP
3. PI Usage type
Do i need to go with the Central Services instance As Java or primary Application server Java ?
any help would be really appreciated
Thanks,
Srini
Hi,
As far as I know you must go for...
1. Central Servcies instance - As Java
2. Primary Application Server - AS ABAP
3. PI Usage type
These are minimum....services that should be installed...you may go for either Central Servcies instance - As Java or primary Application server Java ..its one and the same...
Thanks
Swarup
