How to change page visibility within a role by code

I have a requirement where in I would like to hide the visibility of a few pages within a workset / role by code? I tried searching for the API which would allow me to do this, but came up empty.

Any ideas how would such a requirement be accomplished?

You could split the pages to different roles which are assigned to different users and then merge those roles to one entry point. Take a look at the given link:
