Hi there.
I am setting up a new ETL where I need to filter out actuals for some datasources.
I know I can do this in InfoPackage or DTP, but I have a question.
We have experienced trouble when transporting transformations DTPs and IPs.
I feel a bit concerned that we would have to make DTP or IP in the future, and that the filters then will be forgotten.
What is the recommended way of doing this.
Hi Ingrid,
I have used restrictions in DTP and they work fine for me. Loosing something in transport is always a concern but if it is tested and well documented then it could work fine. Otherwise you can use start routines, or transformation routines to get rid of the values that you don't need but they are aslo prone to transport errors.
Other way is load everything and then restrict in the reports by not showing actuals etc.

Nikhil
