What is extract and transfer Structure?

You can go through the sap Help .

Transfer Structure:

With Transfer structure we provide transformation to the data through transfer rules.

Transfer Structure contains the fields from DataSource from source system that you want

to map in BW.

The data is teansfered from Transfer Structure of Source System to the Transfer Structure

of BW System by 1:1 Mapping using Transfer Rules.

ie we map each Source fields to one InfoObject in BW.

The extraction structure is the structure that contains all the fields you see in RSA6.
