Dears,
I need to configure extended TMS in my landscape in my system landscape.
I searched a lot but but don't find any good document.
Please suggest me how this activity can be performed.
Deepak

Hi Deepak,
Sorry for misunderstanding your question.
This [link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm32/helpdata/en/44/b4a09a7acc11d1899e0000e829fbbd/frameset.htm] will provide you the details you're looking for.
For quick reference:
From Domain Controller:
1. You have to create Transports groups: STMS/Transport Routes/Edit/Transport Target Group/Create
2. Create Transport layers: STMS/Transport Routes/Edit/Transport layer/Create
3. Define the transport routes: STMS/Transport Routes/Edit/Transport route/Create
4. Select the graphical editor and configure
5. Finally "distribute" the settings.

Srihari

Hi Srihari,
I have configured TMS on my sandbox system with taking Virtual System.
Can you please confirm how can i make sure that TMS is configured correctly.
It's not showing any inconsistencies and also checked Transport tool and Critical objects.
But when I create request by Se01 and after release when i add it in buffer to import it shows Error:247
cofiles and datafiles not created.

Presently,
First I am configuring TMS on my Sandbox system then when I will successfully configure it on Sandbox then will do it for my live systems.
To configure on Sandbox:
First I created a virtual system VIR
then Target group /TEST/ that will point to Virtual System.
Then assuming SOT as dev and VIR as prd,I created two routes one for SAP layer and other for ZSOT from
SOT to /TEST/ .
From /TEST/ to VIR already root created with ->111 client.
Now created a route from SOT to VIR for SOL client 666 to VIR 111.
Then save and activate the settings.

Hi Deepak,
Here are the possible reasons for tp rc 247(addtobuffer has problems with data and/or cofile):
1. if user is not <sid>adm or a user with admin rights, while doing the tp addtobuffer
2. insufficient rights for the user
3. file name should be in uppercase (UNIX)
4. on UNIX, file should be put in the binary FTP
5. while importing (tp import<request number>) client is not mentioned
check these.
If all of the above does not fit in your case, check the transport log. what does it say?
Regards,
Srihari
