Error when refreshing document (Webi Rich Client from XLS file)

Dear all,

Hope you're doing well.

I need to develop a simple "feasibility test" report on Webi Rich Client (Data source : xls file) and I have to publish it in infoview with possibility of refresh (when XLS file is updated).

So, this is what I did : I develop it on Webi Rich Client and I publish the table as Web Service, then I create an other report which is pointing on the web service that I created, so far so good.

But when I export in infoview then refresh my document (pointing on Web service of course), I meet the following error : An internal error occurred while calling the 'processDPCommands API' (Error: WIS 30270)

Can you help me to resolve this issue?

Hi,

Copy File from Client system to server in same folder location .

Make sure in Edit Query option Editable & Refreshable options are checked .

Thank you for your answer. I seen all this links before posting this discussion and your first link seems be the nearest from my issue.

However, XLS file should be in the network, but it's accessible.

Any other ideas ?

Else Try Creating & Using Universe ( UNV or UNX ) on top of Excel .

Hi,

The solution described in the link was done and there is no change.

Version is SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 SP4.

The Universe solution is the current one and my client would like to apply the solution using web services in its environment.
