Difference between Whole and Full database backup in DB13

Hi Experts,

Could anyone explain what is the difference between a Whole Database backup and a Full Database backup in transaction DB13?

Also, how would I restore the database to a previous backup taken via DB13? We use Oracle.

But if I do a Full database backup will it be saved into a single file?

No it won't... it will move the datafiles and other necesary files to the backup device following the setting on the init<sid>.sap file.

And how will I use it for recovery? or for restoring the DB to a previous state?
