Introduction:
Configuration and Security Analysis application helps us display the configuration items of the technical configuration using the store browser.
Changes you can display the evaluated changes on items in time frames. Administration provides information about the managed systems and their status in CSA.
The capabilities are available after the setup of ABAP on-premise systems. CSA detects and records common technical changes in a managed system. A change tracking is performed during upload of the extracted configuration information.
On managed system side the configuration data is collected and pushed to the SAP Cloud ALM for operation. There the data is compared with the previous snapshot to identify changes. Data is stored in the HANA database.
Config Stores of SAP On Premise Solutions
This section provides a list of Config Stores that are available for managed systems of type Application Server ABAP:
- SAP Business Suite
- SAP NetWeaver Application Server for ABAP (7.40 and higher)
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP S/4HANA, private cloud edition
Conclusion:
CSA is a new and very useful feature in SAP Cloud ALM Operations track and can be a game changer if utilized properly. It is very easy to setup and data starts showing up once you set up SAP Cloud ALM for operations of your landscape.
