Column Header with Tooltip on Excel export

Hi Experts,

I need to display the Tooltip for the Table Column Headers in webi.

I am able to achieve this in 2 ways. 1) Read Content as HTML 2) Read Content as Hyperlink

Both are working fine in webi whereas when I export to Excel, I could only see the HTML syntax( when content read as HTML).

I believe this is the expected behaviour. Please confirm.

When content read as Hyperlink, I am able to see the values properly BUT with an underline.

Is there any possibility to display the Column Headers WITHOUT underline when exported to Excel?

Hi Ramanathan,

When you are exporting the report to excel, excel understands the values in the cell as hyperlink therefore it displays it with underline. If you try to export to PDF, it will display as URL which you can click to open.

Your requirement can be achieved in excel if you write specific macro for formatting purpose. So once you write macro the steps of execution would be,

• Run report
• Export to Excel
• Run macro on your machine to update excel to desired formatting level

There are no options on BO level to control formatting of excel.
