BEx: Drop Down box shows compound values

Former Member

Hello !

I am trying to use the drop down box feature in order to filter cost centers (0costcenter). The infoobject 0costcenter has two compunding infoobjects: 0soursystem and 0co_area. When I display key and text in the drop down box, it shows "sourcesystem/co area/cost center[text]" instead of just "cost center[text]". However in the related query/ data provider, the cost centers are displayed without compounding infoobjects.

Is anyone familiar with this problem and has a solution to this ?

Thanks in advance,

Max

Hi,

Yes it is right..

you can avoid the diaply of compunding by putting same in row those componding fields say controlling area, logsys and right click and then hide the display..

but it will be always seen in the variable display..

so to avoid this you can also write BADI and see if you can just filter those required data or youcan use text..

Thanks and regards

Hi Max,

F4 is nothing but selecting the values in the variable in the variable screen..

so where u can see the charateristics values compunded with compunding field values..

Thanks and regards
