Hi,
What is the difference between Adaptive Web service Model in 04s and Web Service model in 04? What is the meaning of Adaptive in this context?

Hi
These are the diffrences between Adaptive WebService and Old Webservice model.
<b>Adaptive WS Model:</b>
1) CMI implementation, generic + typed model
2) Advanced security settings supported via WS-R Service Extension Interfaces
3) Runtime settings configurable at runtime through WS-Runtime configuration and WS destinations
4) Improved support for WSDL / XML schema constructs; better knowledge about limitations
5) Typed model classes based on generic base and/or delegation classes, bug fixes possible without new code generation
6) Renaming of model classes possible
<b>Old Webservice Model:</b>
1) No CMI impl., only typed model through generation at design-time
2) No support for advanced security settings (non-SAP SSO authentication tickets)
3) Runtime settings stored at design-time; not configurable at runtime (e.g. internet proxy, authentication, )
4) Limited set of XML schema definition support (e.g. no support for multidim. arrays, anonymous types, )
5) Based only on code generation at design-time every bug fix requires recompilation and re-deployment of application
6) No model class renaming
Hope this helps.

Rathna
