The SAP Fiori user experience (UX) is one of the key differentiators of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, an easy-to-use, intelligent Cloud ERP with numerous integration capabilities. In this post, I will walk you through the key points we presented around UX innovations and what we are planning for SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2208:
Horizon Visual Theme for SAP Fiori
As a first step of ensuring a modern and fresh user experience, we introduced the new Horizon visual theme for SAP Fiori, first adopted by SAP S/4HANA. Horizon is the newest evolution of the SAP Fiori design language and builds on the success of its predecessors. Horizon paves the way towards a new modular design with bold SAP typography to emphasize important information, a sharper focus with more contrast and space, and an improved information hierarchy with a simplified header bar. There will be light and dark versions of Horizon as well as high contrast white and black versions. The light version, which will be available first, is called Morning Horizon, the dark version, Evening Horizon. This visual style change will be the first step to better usability and an increased focus on end-user expectations.

New My Home in SAP S/4HANA Cloud
With SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2202, SAP introduced a preview of a major evolution of My Home in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, optimized for the Horizon visual theme, to further improve usability!
In the upcoming SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2208 release, building on the functionality of the SAP Fiori launchpad, My Home will support SAP business users to:
Get the information they need to drive their business (important to-dos and insights)
Get their job done quickly on any device (unlock access to apps, offer logical app organization, etc.)
Optimize their work environment (end-user layout and content personalization, etc.)
As My Home leverages Spaces & Pages, this might be the right timing to move from Groups to
Spaces & Pages!

Microsoft Teams Integration
The planned Microsoft Teams integration will improve collaboration among SAP S/4HANA Cloud users, making it possible to share information from any UI within SAP S/4HANA Cloud. With a preview in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2208 release, we are shipping a pre-integrated ‘Share to Microsoft Teams’ function which will allow end users to share content from SAP Fiori apps with other Microsoft Teams users and to link to filtered data in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system. Going forward, and driven by customer feedback that we receive, we plan to deepen the integration with functions such as sharing cards of objects in SAP S/4HANA Cloud within Microsoft Teams.

Operational Purchaser Chatbot for SAP S/4HANA
A “conversation” between a human and a digital assistant should provide the information the user needs to complete a task easily, quickly, and while taking up a small amount of screen real estate. The digital assistant should also convey a feeling of understanding and trust to provide an enjoyable experience.
The Operational Purchase Chatbot for SAP S/4HANA serves as a template, allowing customers to adapt and extend it to their users' needs or to create their own bots for specific use cases. The chatbot is available as a side option in the SAP Fiori launchpad, allowing users to seek relevant information without having to leave the current context they work in.
